Stream Okta events
Once SlashID is set up to monitor your Okta environment, you can also receive security detection events via the AWS EventBridge log stream. Follow these steps to configure log streaming.
No AWS Account Required
SlashID hosts the AWS infrastructure for Okta event streaming. You only need to configure your Okta admin console to send events to SlashID's AWS account.
Step 1: Get the Event Streaming Configuration
- In the SlashID console, navigate to your Okta integration (SlashID console > Identity Protection > Configuration > Integrations).
- Copy the Connection ID for the Okta integration.
Step 2: Create an EventBridge Log Stream in Okta
Log in to your Okta Admin Console.
Navigate to Reports > Log Streaming.
Click Add Log Stream and select AWS EventBridge.
Configure the log stream with the following settings:
- AWS Account ID: Enter
469725248735(SlashID's AWS Account) - AWS Region: Select
US East (N. Virginia) us-east-1 - Event Source Name: Enter the event source name from Step 1 (e.g.,
slashid-<connection-id>)
- AWS Account ID: Enter
Click Save.
For more details on creating an EventBridge log stream in Okta, see the Okta documentation.
Verify Configuration
After creating the log stream in Okta:
- The log stream should appear with Status: Active in your Okta admin console.
- Events will automatically flow to SlashID's Identity Protection platform.
- You can verify events are being received in the SlashID console under your Okta integration.
tip
It may take a few minutes for the first events to appear after configuration.
